Change Log #17

Integration with Google Cloud Platform, new AWS instances, DigitalOcean Block Storage support and more

Integration with Google Cloud Platform

We are happy to introduce the new supported provider – Google Cloud Platform

GCP is available in 18 zones. You can find more information in Regions and Zones doc

Here is documentation about how to link GCP with your D2C account.

By default, all GCP hosts are created with 5GB storage. You can resize it (without downsizing) using GCP Zonal Persistent SSD disks.

New AWS regions

There are two new available regions in Amazon Web Services:

  • 🇫🇷 France, Paris
  • 🇸🇪 Sweden, Stockholm

New AWS instance types

Here are changes in AWS instance types:

– t3 are available

– r5 are available

– t2 will be unavailable after t3 become available in Mumbai region.

– m4 are not available anymore (m5 are available in all regions and more profitable)

c4 are not available anymore (c5 are available in all regions and more profitable)

If you want to migrate your current services we recommend you create new hosts and then migrate containers instead of resizing hosts. Resizing is possible only for hosts created after 2018-04-16.

DigitalOcean Block storage

From this moment, you can add additional storage (Block Storage volumes) for your DigitalOcean droplets using the D2C interface.

Instant backup button

You can now create a single backup without cron tasks using “Backup” button at the databases service’s page.
